I consider myself an enamelist on most days. When I'm not chasing my three children, I can be found in Studio 1 at the Burkholder Project in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have been creating with metal and enamel since 1992. I love working on these large-scale fine silver cloisonne' wall pieces and find the creative process a meditative retreat. (Now the beginning design process feels like labor pains and is another story!)

When I create these images, I work towards designs that have strong lines, while keeping the color as an equally powerful element.
